Giuliano was an exceptional tour guide, very knowledgable, courteous and helpful. We met at the offices, where Giuliano then took our group into a shaded area, to explain some details about the Sistine Chapel (Sept was unbelievably hot so shade was necessary!) as talking is not permitted once inside, it was nice to already have some prior information and knowledge of interior.

Once inside the Vatican, Giuliano gave us a great insight as to the vast history behind this phenomenal city. His knowledge of each part of the tour is amazing, and he really bought history to life whilst we walked round.

St Peters Basilica is far better in real life than you could ever imagine, intricately decorated with history spanning back years. And the Vatican Museums are treasures in themselves. The artwork, statues, sculptures and tapestry's are so incredibly beautiful.

For anyone looking to visit the Vatican, do so with Giuliano and his team. The knowledge you'll leave with is unbelievable.

He showed so much knowledge of all 3 phases of the tour, and was animated and showed his passion for history through it all. Very helpful, very insightful, you will not regret it. I’m not huge into history, art, or anything of that sort but after doing this tour, I’m absolutely fascinated thanks to the help of Marco. 10000/10 recommend.

Even without Giuliano,... read more this tour is a winner as it efficiently covers St Peter’s, the museum and the Sistine chapel in approximately 3 1/2 hours. It hits the high points of all three with time allocated appropriately. We dragged ourselves out of bed for the 9am tour and it was worth it. Even though December is off-season (not to mention Covid), the later lines, while manageable, were longer. We were told that approximately 8-10 million people usually visit the Vatican in a normal year. 2020 saw that number drop by 80%. This was our first trip, so we were not sure what to expect about crowd sizes. We have been delighted to find the crowds are here, but they’re smaller and less oppressive. December is a great time to come to Rome and I higher recommend this tour!
