The line to get... read more into the Vatican if you did not have the a skip the line tour was 6 hours. Gilliano was amazing! I was so impressed with how calm, informative, funny and kind he was. It was no joke navigating through hundreds of people. My son and I both enjoyed the tour. I wish all our guides were like Gulliano!

  Lucia was an excellent guide, friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended fir anyone visiting Rome as the tour covers so much history and art.

  The skip the line tour was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Our guide Lucia was very knowledgeable about St Peters Basilica and the art and sculptures contained... read more in it. Lucia also had great information about the works in the various rooms in the vatican museums.
Best tip we got was pay for the elevator if you are going to the top of the dome of the basilica! It is €10 and means that you only need to climb 330 stairs instead of nearly 900. The climb is not for the faint hearted however the view at the top is absolutely spectacular.
One thing to be aware of is that during the tour when you leave St Peters Basilica, if you want to return to wander through the amazing church again you will have to queue to go through the security barrier again. We did this and although the queue looked large, we only had to wait about ten minutes. Definitely worth it although I'm not sure it would be that quick at the peak of summer tourist season.
I would definitely recommend this tour, it was enjoyable and added to the experience.

The only... read more thing I would say is, at the Sistine Chapel, when I was here several years ago, I did the audio tour which was breath-taking with its description of each section of the paintings. So when I was here this time with my grandson wanting him to have the same, you don't get that with this tour.

  Was well organised, with a very knowledgeable tour guide Marco who was very passionate about the history and made the tour more enjoyable.
