  This was the first tour we did during our time in Rome, and it got our trip off to an amazing start. Everything about this tour was easy, from finding... read more the meeting point, to entering the sites. Everything was organised for us, and it meant we got to simply enjoy it. We had Lucia as our guide, and we couldn't fault her in any way. She was friendly, even taking the time to go round the group and ask everyone their name and where they were from. Lucia clearly has lots of knowledge which she was able to communicate effectively to the group. Out of the 2 of us that took this tour, 1 of us had previously visited Rome and the attractions on this tour, while the other hadn't. However, we both were able to learn lots, with Lucia pointing out very intricate details which I had not previously been shown. She was able to do this without boring us or overloading us with information. She also gave us lots of opportunities for photos, and explained everything as she did it. Even showing us how we would return to the sites, and where to go from the ending point. Lucia was able to give information about Rome in general too, even offering restaurant recommendations to a member of the group. She kept a good pace, and allowed us to enjoy our time in Rome. This tour is also great value for money, with it being the only one I could find which includes St Peter's Basilica alongside the Vatican Museums. I would recommend this tour to anyone, and I would definitely book this again should I return to Rome.

The... read more price for the tour is very reasonable and I would highly recommended you to join this tour no matter with or without kids.

After the tour I strongly suggest you go to the top of the Basilica. This is not included in the tour, but it is worth the money and sore legs. The hardcore visitor will take the stairs all the way to the top - 551 steps - but if you pay a little extra you can take the lift and you are "only" left with 320 steps. It is tough but worth it. The view is just spectacular. Enjoy. More

We also got much closer than usual to all of the sights. Our host was very knowledgeable and attentive and had excellent English.
