For someone who isn't very religious, I appreciated Marco giving a brief lesson before heading out and interpreting some of the major pieces beforehand. Extra points for being so kind and interacting with my 2 young kids (the only ones in the group). Highly recommended!

  This was, no exaggeration, the best tour we went on while in Rome. It was also the most expensive, but well worth the money. Firstly, the tour operators showed... read more their professionalism before we even booked the tour, when they replied to a question we had (whether the tour actually includes St. Peter's Basilica; we'd seen elsewhere that it may have been closed due to Covid, which thankfully wasn't the case, as we wanted the tour to include all 3 key Vatican locations) quickly and explained everything we needed to know. They also sent us a message, in both email and SMS form, with some relevant information the night before the tour. Secondly, the tour itself was by far the most memorable out of the 4 we went on (the other 3 obviously weren't Vatican tours so this may be like comparing apples to oranges, but the fact remains) in Rome. Marco was a delightful tour guide, he made the tour interesting, engaging and funny, and we almost never felt the 3- 3,5 hour length of the tour. We also kept a steady pace throughout, with only a bit of hurrying between the Basilica and the Vatican Museums. We came out of the tour feeling like we've learned plenty, and much of the information extended to the rest of our stay, like being able to recognize some of the symbolism and family crests in other places throughout Rome. We really can't recommend it enough, it was one of the highlights of our trip.
