  This was, no exaggeration, the best tour we went on while in Rome. It was also the most expensive, but well worth the money. Firstly, the tour operators showed... read more their professionalism before we even booked the tour, when they replied to a question we had (whether the tour actually includes St. Peter's Basilica; we'd seen elsewhere that it may have been closed due to Covid, which thankfully wasn't the case, as we wanted the tour to include all 3 key Vatican locations) quickly and explained everything we needed to know. They also sent us a message, in both email and SMS form, with some relevant information the night before the tour. Secondly, the tour itself was by far the most memorable out of the 4 we went on (the other 3 obviously weren't Vatican tours so this may be like comparing apples to oranges, but the fact remains) in Rome. Marco was a delightful tour guide, he made the tour interesting, engaging and funny, and we almost never felt the 3- 3,5 hour length of the tour. We also kept a steady pace throughout, with only a bit of hurrying between the Basilica and the Vatican Museums. We came out of the tour feeling like we've learned plenty, and much of the information extended to the rest of our stay, like being able to recognize some of the symbolism and family crests in other places throughout Rome. We really can't recommend it enough, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Vía Plauto is easy to find, there is bathroom there, you can grab breakfast from local shops while you wait and then you can start your tour. It’s incredibly easy and I highly recommend!   Giulliano was our tour guide for the day and he was super informative, friendly and really considerate to everyone in the group as the age range and ability was very... read more varied. At the starting point he went through the whole Sistine chapel so we knew what we were looking at once we got there, which as I’ve visited the Vatican before gave me a whole different outlook looking at it. He knew everything when questioned and just gave little insights that I feel most guides would not have known. Giulliano clearly loves the Vatican and his job and this comes across in all he says. The skipping the line was well worth it as the queue for St. Peter’s basilica was extremely long all day the tour jumped all of this. Would definitely recommend this tour and especially giulliano and the Vatican and all it holds is breathtaking!!!

Booking was straightforward on TA. We took the metro from Termini... read more station, got off at Octaviano station and there were about 10 minute walk to the office to check in for the tour.

A little before 12pm a group of 30 people or so had been gathering ready to go. Giuliano was our guide and he made sure to introduce himself to everyone which was nice. His English is great.

He kicked off the tour by gathering the group nearby and gave an explanation of Michelangelo’s paintings in the Sistine Chapel. It’s because it’s not allowed to talk in the Chapel.

We skipped all the lines to get inside the museum where we collected the audio receivers and earphones.

The visit was amazing. A lot to see and we were glad not to have to wait in long lines. Even in winter the place was crowded to full capacity.

Giuliano did a fine job providing interesting information about the artefacts, history of the buildings, and more.
